A Gordon Merrick Symmetry In Wood Grateful Dead mandala appeared in my living room while I was away at the New Orleans Jazz Festival!

Gordon Merrick produced his first Grateful Dead Mandala as a commission by the band. Instead of asking for cash, he asked for tickets and the band was so impressed by his work that they gave him tickets and backstage passes for the rest of their career. He says it was "the best commission ever."
