DOSE and ZONE
Feb 1st
A few months back I was goofing around on the Obamicon website hosted by Paste Magazine and I turned the popular Stanley Mouse “I Need A New Brain” blotter art into an Obamicon, changing the Shepherd Fairey HOPE into DOSE. I posted this on Facebook and my friend Jeff Wood over at Drowning Creek loved the idea and suggested I approach Stanley Mouse about doing a more refined version of the print as a signed, numbered edition. I agreed.
Once DOSE was in the works, I approached photographer Jay Blakesberg about doing his iconic Phil Lesh poster as ZONE. He, too, agreed. These posters have been distributed through The Faded Line, but I was given a stack as my cut in producing the edition, and it is the portion from my stack that is available on this site.
My posted image is shamelessly lifted from The Faded Line, who are distributing Jeff’s stack of the posters. I’ll get my own photo posted soon… hopefully before I piss anyone off!

Stanley Mouse "I Need A New Brain" blotter art
The first of the Stanley Mouse blotter art designs and (pardon the self-congratulatory tone) still the best. This blotter art was produced in a signed, numbered edition of 300. The run will sell out and this print will increase in value over the years.
